Extreme Skin Care ~ Lavender
This moisturizing bar is super helpful in dry atmospheres like a Canadian winter or after summer sun! Wonderful for face, hands & body, it's full of soothing organic oats from Speerville Flour Mills (New Brunswick) & honey from Cornect Family Farm in Nova Scotia. This nourishing bar is like food for my skin & is still my personal favourite!
Leigh AKA The Soap Lady
This rich, soothing moisturizer is lightly scented with calming lavender essential oil. A little goes a long way & it gradually sinks in leaving skin smooth & not greasy. We use it to moisturize all body parts on big & little people, & even to tame unruly hair!😊
The cream is beautifully boxed with a bonus mini bar and the lotion is in an amber glass pump bottle. Both are wonderful for gifting or as a personal treat for your skin.
2-Piece: 1 x Honey & Oat Soap + Cream (60 ml boxed + bonus unscented mini bar)
5-Piece: 4 x Honey & Oat Soap + Lotion (220 gram)
The soap is not vegan because it has honey & the moisturizer has beeswax.
Otherwise they do not contain any ingredients derived from animals . . . we promise ![]()
All year round we go to Port Hillford beach on the pristine Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia to collect sea water in five-gallon buckets. We've learned that crocs are the best thing to wear, as rubber boots simply fill up with water 😊 Once filtred through fine fabric, it makes up 25% of every bar!
Why? Salt water makes a harder bar so it lasts longer, salt water is soothing to skin, & most especially it's kind of romantic to use something that connects us to our ancestors who emigrated from the old country 10 generations ago.
Soap Making Note: Sodium hydroxide (commonly referred to as 'lye') is necessary to cause the chemical reaction that makes oil & water become soap. Once the soap is soap, the lye is gone.😊 Please visit our FAQ page for more info about the saponification process.

I use the face & body cream on my very dry hands. It has a lovely light and whipped texture but hydrates really well! The honey & oats soap leaves your skin squeeky clean but not dried out. I'll certainly be reordering both products!
My skin is loving this cream, and it is one of the very few creams that agree with my overly sensitive skin, even with a lavender scent.. It leaves my face soft and vibrant. Many people have commented how beautiful my skin looks. The soap is luxurious, cleans and leaves my hands soft and supple. Cheers, Mary
Being from the east coast, living out west, when I go home in the summer, I search for local products I can bring back with me as a reminder of “home”. The Nova Scotia soaps and lavender skin lotion certainly reminds me of home.❤️ Wonderful products, gentle on my sensitive skin. Thanks!!
Thanks for your support & reviews <3

I love lavender and would like a bigger kick of fragrance. I was really hoping that this bar worked 100% as a shampoo, soap and shave solution since I would be happy to be rid of commercial shampoos and the packaging that comes with them. And as soap and shave, it is wonderful. As shampoo, I am sorry to say that after a few shampoos, my (and my husband’s) hair didn’t feel or behave like it was clean. Both of us have dry, curly hair but after a few washes our hair felt coated and weighted by the oils. It works for the shave and the body wash, but was disappointing as a shampoo. Love The Soap Company of Nova Scotia regardless. Hope this feedback in the kindest of spirit helps.
Thank you for making such an excellent laundry powder.
The only laundry powder we'll use.
I put it on right out of the shower. Very nice body oil.
I like it well enough but wish it was a tube or bullet format.
