Scent FAQs
-
Will my laundry be scented when it is dry?
- Not typically, though maybe.😊
- Why? Essential oils are often too fragile to survive the laundry process.
- That said, many folks have told us that our patchouli laundry powder does leave a light scent on their laundry
-
Can I buy the scent to use on my dryer balls?
- For sure! Visit the essential oil section to make your selection.
-
How long will unused powder stay scented?
- About 12 months. Essential oils are fragile & will dissipate if left open to the air. Store powder in air tight container between uses to maintain the scent.

Instructions ~ Regular Diaper Cleaning Routine
Pre-wash – To get the poo & pee out
- Shortest cycle on washer with highest level of water
- 1 teaspoon laundry powder
- Cold water
- Hard Water Tip: If your water is really, really hard add 1/4 cup borax
Wash – To get them clean 😊
- 2 teaspoons laundry powder
- Cold water
Drying tip: Line-dry diapers whenever possible. The sun is such a great natural bleach & fresh air is so much easier on the elastics in the diaper shells than a hot dryer 😊
Two load tip: The ick-factor of the prewash water will be greater when the diapers are washed less frequently. That said, there will always be a noticeable difference, so we do recommend doing two washes.
