Step #2 ~ Moisturize

This rich, exotic moisturizer features our signature Be Mine scent starring earthy patchouli essential oil. A little goes a long way & it gradually sinks in leaving skin smooth & not greasy. We use it to moisturize all body parts on big & little people, & even to tame unruly hair!😊 

The cream is beautifully boxed with a bonus mini bar and the lotion is in an amber glass pump bottle. Both are wonderful for gifting or as a personal treat for your skin.

Why are these not vegan?

The soap is not vegan because it has honey & the moisturizer has beeswax.  Otherwise they do not contain any ingredients derived from animals . . . we promise 

25% of Every Bar is Salt Water

All year round we go to Port Hillford beach on the pristine Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia to collect sea water in five-gallon buckets. We've learned that crocs are the best thing to wear, as rubber boots simply fill up with water 😊 Once filtred through fine fabric, it makes up 25% of every bar!

Why? Salt water makes a harder bar so it lasts longer, salt water is soothing to skin, & most especially it's kind of romantic to use something that connects us to our ancestors who emigrated from the old country 10 generations ago.

Honey & Oat Soap Ingredients

• Plain language: Sea water, vegetable shortening (soybean oil, palm oil [sustainably harvested - Info on FAQ page]), coconut oil, olive oil, sodium hydroxide (see note below), honey, oatmeal
• INCI terminology: Aqua, olea europaea fruit oil, cocos nucifera oil, glycine soja oil, elaeis guineensis oil, sodium hydroxide, avena sativa kernel meal, honey, salt

Soap Making Note:  Sodium hydroxide (commonly referred to as 'lye') is necessary to cause the chemical reaction that makes oil & water become soap. Once the soap is soap, the lye is gone.😊 Please visit our FAQ page for more info about the saponification process.

Moisturizer Ingredients

• Plain language: Rice bran oil, castor oil, shea butter, water, beeswax, glycerin, xanthum gum, emulsifier & preservative, essential oils: bergamot, geranium, orange, patchouli
• INCI terminology: Oryza sativa, ricinus communis, aqua, beeswax, glycerin, xanthum gum, gluconalactone, emulsifer & preservative, citrus aurantium bergamia flower oil, citrus sinensis dulcis peel oil, pelargonium graveolens flower oil, pogostemon cablin oil
  

Preservative & Emulsifier (100% natural, non-GMO), details below:

Emulsifier: lactic acid & sodium lactate derived from coconut oil & vegetable oil

Preservative: lactobacillus (a bacterium that produces lactic acid from the fermentation of carbohydrates), coconut fruit extract (fermentation of coconut), gluconolactone (microbial fermentation of corn), sodium benzoate (sodium salt derived from benzoic acid, which naturally occurs in various fruits & spices such as apples, cinnamon, etc.), calcium gluconate (naturally occurring mineral salt derived from glucose)
